It's been a while since I've used FMP...but I'm trying to get back into database design. I'm on v8.5 now and I can't seem to do the basic task of drag-copying layout elements with keyboard shortcuts...when I drag-copy I get the little + sign like it's copying, but the element just ends up moving. Am I doing something really basic wrong in this version???

Hello Shadowdoc,

When you saw the + sign, it means copying. Try to hold Ctrl and click the object and move to the place you want. Keep on holding the Ctrl until you release the mouse. Usually, when you click "Ctrl" button and release it before you release the mouse, it just perform move.

Can't thank you enough...I know it's basic but that was driving me crazy. I don't remember the prior versions being so sensitive, but I guess so...Thanks
