Portal scrolling problem

Featured Replies

In my database I have a number of relationships built up and a few portals on different forms to display related records (display only, not to add them, if this is important.) But I've started finding a disturbing problem. Say there are 20 records to view in the portal but the portal only has 10 rows. I click on the scroll bar to view more records. Instead of stopping when the last record is reached it keeps going. Sometimes, depending where I am clicking in the scroll bar, it shows repeating blank rows. At other times it simply duplicates the last record over and over again. If I enter one of the rows, the cell or row contents revert to a different "actual" record representation. Note how, in the picture, the record number itself is repeating.

It seems to me this is something like a corruption problem or a display issue. But what? It's mystifying me and my client. Has anyone dealt with such a problem before?

Any help is appreciated, and I can clarify or provide more detail if necessary.

What is the portal's relationship? Could it be a FM7 bug? Can you upgrade? If you post a copy with a bit of data, I'll see if it happens on FM9A w/WinXP.

This was one of the many FMP 7.0 bugs. Check your exact version and make sure it's patched, I think it was v3.

Your best bet is to upgrade to FMP 8.5 or later.
