First page of printout always zero

With layouts designed for printing, I have persistent problem with printouts using Page symbol, where the Page symbol gets the value zero for the first page.

In Preview Mode, the same page properly shows 1 for the first page. It's only on the printout that the page number is wrong.

What can I do to fix this? Or is it a bug? (I'm using 9.0v3 Advanced.)

Wild guess: check your Print... setup, under the 'FileMaker Pro' tab, there's a 'Number pages from:' attribute.
