February 16, 200817 yr Does anyone have any experience with setting up SuperContainer with the following configuration? FMS 9 running on its own box (OS 10.4) File Server running on its own box (OS 10.5) I want to store the files on the file server. Should I be running SuperContainer Server on that box or on the FM server box? If I need to run it on the file server, do I run it as a stand-alone or run it with Tomcat? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! I'm under a tight deadline to get this done.
February 18, 200817 yr I would recommend running it on the File Server. There is no real benefit to running it on FMS 9, and it will be less bandwidth intensive if it is running off the local disk. Since you're using the OS X Core Imaging feature, you'll need to run in stand-alone mode; that feature does not work when running as a service in Tomcat.
February 18, 200817 yr Author Thanks, Jesse. That's how I deployed it at a client over the weekend and it worked out really well. Good job on creating such a great product. -Kent
