Cannot open file-odd error message

Hi,

Just recently encountering a problem opening a FM 8.5 file on Leopard 10.5.2; I'm prompted as usual for the username and password which I enter. FM returns the following message...

"xxxxx.fp7 could not be opened. (Not Open)"

Any idea what might be causing this issue and how to resolve.

Yes I have installed the appropriate update however this did nor remedy the problem.
