lonesomejubilee Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 Hey, As you can see from a few posts down, the last time i ran a standard Mac Software Update it crashed server, presumably because the new Java didn't work. So I am very leery about performing blind updates. I see there are updates for Java 6 and Security updates available. So should I update or no? Has anyone tried it? Thanks, LJ
Steven H. Blackwell Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 You are correct to be very cautious. [color:red]You should never, ever use automatic updates of the OS on a FileMaker Server machine. Use the notify option instead. Be sure tostop all the services/daemons before running any updates, Steven
lonesomejubilee Posted February 18, 2008 Author Posted February 18, 2008 Yeah, I don't automatically do it now, but I am wondering if the most recent one will hurt, has anyone tried it?
