February 21, 200817 yr I have four tables and a Join Table. For one piece of equipment, there is the possibility of three Vendors for the same piece of equipment with the same RFQ No. I am trying to achieve a portal or list where the one RFQ is listed i.e. RFQ 1001 so i can design a report where i can click the one record for RFQ 1001 and have all information for the possible three vendors print out. Is this possible. Please see example file attached. JOINHELP.zip
February 22, 200817 yr Unfortunately can't I really see what the problem is, might it be something with the tunneling that doesn't make sense? ... Strictly speaking ought I have broken the entire view out in a new TOG instead of using the bidirectionalty! --sd JOINHELPsugg.zip
February 25, 200817 yr Author Hi Soren, Thanks. Yes, it works fine. Unforunately this exact setup won't work with ESS and SQL Tables.
February 25, 200817 yr setup won't work with ESS and SQL Tables I havn't found the urge to dabble with this yet, neither have XML yet been particular urgent in my endevours. --sd
February 25, 200817 yr You mean chasing out in all kinds of suburban sprawl, just for the hell of it, but what if it turns out be a cul de sac?? I tend to see much of these converging technologies hype, as just another aspect of marketing effords to remain hermitic in a niche. It's a modern version of Willy Lohman's fate, making a sense of making the customer believe he/she is spoilt for choise, instead of tightning up outstanding issues. Some call it the tennisracket lie - by buying the same brand as Jimmy Conners, perhaps we just should substitute Willy Lohman with: http://www.filemaker.com/company/bio/rosenberg.html ....in Arthur Millers play?? --sd
February 25, 200817 yr Author Could well be a cul de sac but then the need for us to relay this to Filemaker to get the finger out and fix it!
