Server: FileMaker Server 9 on Windows XP

Client: FileMaker 9 on Windows XP

I set up the Server as a single-machine deployment. I added my shiny new database, opened the database and status is listed as normal (Pro checked, everything else unchecked and clients 0).

I disabled the firewall i n Windows XP as well (for testing).

I open up FileMaker Pro 9 on the client. I go to File > Open Remote... I add a Favorite Host (Internal IP Address of my server running FileMaker Server). I also selected "Show all available files for this host" - Nothing shows up in the available files section.

This is my first FM Server setup and I must be missing something... I am not trying to use the Web Publishing.

Does it have something to do with Directory Service under Configuration > Database Settings?

I am lost, can anyone help?

Stop server, take it off server, open it with client, and double check your Sharing settings. Make sure sharing is on and "Don't display in open remote dialog" is NOT checked.

Edit --> Sharing --> FileMaker Network.
