Column Sorting

I'm trying to re-create a Column Sorting example from the book QUE Special Edition Using Filemaker Pro 9. Page 324. Sorting of columns works just fine but I'm having trouble trying to get the background color for the column heading to work, it will show up once but won't jump from heading to heading when clicked on and when it does show the color it only partially fills the field, even though the gHighlite field is much bigger than the column heading field.
