I'm finally at the point where I am going to "Attempt" to set up a meaningful and useful help file for my application. In analyzing my app I believe there will be approx. 90 buttons, layouts, etc. that will require some type of explanation. I have used Tool Tips to explain what each button does, but, I thought a more complete explanation would be helpful.

So, to my questions, does anyone have any suggestions as to how to properly set up a Help File System? Is there any documentation available? Are there any example files that I could look at?

I would recommend you put your HELP system on your web site and then provide the user a layout with a web viewer on your solution, this way you can maintain your "help" content independently from your solution.

The guys over at CNS Plug-ins use this approach to their sample files.
