I have 2 filemaker tables

One contains a list of available URLs, The other contains a list of keywords to help us find a relevant Domain Names for our clients. As an example, one of the keywords could be "wine" another could be "vinyard".

Using an exact relationship between the two tables (and ignoring the .net on the end), our URL list would pick out "wine.net" and "vinyard.net" for example, but not "winecellar.net" or "italianvinyards.net", because they are not exact matches.

Is there a way I could make the table relate to records that contain these keywords, when they are in amongst other characters, not just an exact match. i.e. simlar to *vinyard* in a find request but in a relationship with another table instead.

Search the custom functions at briandunning.com for "text" or "string" -- I know there's at least one there that will "explode" a text string into all possible strings. E.g. "winecellar" would return:

w

wi

win

...

i

in

ine

...

...

c

ce

cel

...

You can then use that calc in your relationship.
