Hi All - Still trialing server - sorry this is such a basis question.

Is there any way to activate IWP for a specific file once it is served on a remote computer. When I access the file via remote no specific files are shown in the list and Server Admin doesnt seem to have an options to activate IWP for a particular file.

You must enable the fmiwp bit in the Extended Privileges for the Privilege Set that is attached to the Account that opens the file. Second, you must enable IWP in the web pubslishing portion of the FileMaker Server 9 Advanced Admin Console. Third, you must have the web server (IIS or Apache) running.
