I have web publishing turned OFF on FM Server 9.0.3 and as a result the server e-mails me the following message several times per day:

Subject: FMServer ERROR wpe1 FileMaker Server 9.0.3.325 on FMServer.local reported...

FileMaker Server 9.0.3.325 on FMServer.local reported the following event:

Wed Mar 12 12:08:23 PDT 2008 FMS ERROR wpe1

Some problems were detected in the WPE COMPONENT: COMPONENT IS NOT RESPONDING.

FileMaker Server automatically sent you this email. Contact the administrator if you no longer want to receive these notifications.

If I turn web publishing ON, the notifications stop. I've looked in the Admin Console for the setting which will disable this specific notification, but can't find it. I don't want to disable ALL notifications, just this one. How is it done?

Many thanks for your suggestions--

: I have the same problem.

Anyone has any idea about what is this error?

Thanks a lot.

Same problem here. Every time we reboot the server, it sends this "error" as an email. Kinda defeats the purpose of emailing errors. Our customers are beginning to ignore the errors as "crying wolf". When something really goes wrong, no one will be paying attention.

There is a setting to stop FMS from sending emails. It's in the Admin Console.
