We recently purchased a Lexmark 2580 printer to do our Purchase Orders using Filemaker Pro 6. We can see the font on the computer correctly but when we print to the printer the font of the PO is too large. We have tried different Drivers such as the Epson FX80, FX100, FX850 and the FX1050. With our prior Lexmark printer Model 2380 we were able to find a compatible Epson driver that would bring the font down to the correct size on the printer. But with this new printer we are unable to get the font to print small enough. Please help us... we are out of ideals on this side.

My guess would be that the font type is not supported or installed as a default font on the printer. With some printers you can install more fonts either through hardware or software.

Try courier. It is a monospace font that most printers support.
