Oracle Date Field Problem

Featured Replies

I have two oracle date fields that are causing me problems in Filemaker

Session Start time, Session end time,

When I import these date fields into filemaker all I get is the date no timestamp infomation. I had my oracle DBA look at the field contents in oracle and the date fields contain both date data and time data. (2/1/2008 12:00:00 am).

I've tried importing these fields into FMP date fields, timestamp fields, and time fields. I always get the date no time information.

Is there anything I can do?

Is this a FMP 7 issue and if I upgrade it will be fixed?

I have also tried opening the oracle table from filemaker (You know where it will create a table based on the what you select in your SQL statement) when I do this it creates the Session_start_time field as a date.

Any help is appreciated. I'm not sure what else to try.

What I'm trying to do is calculate the hours between the start and end times of a session. A session can't be more than 24 hours long and has to occur during a single calendar date.
