Newbies saranyc1 Posted April 7, 2008 Newbies Posted April 7, 2008 I've just begun work on a databook that is formatted in InDesign, but all of the data editing is done in FMP. My predecessor seems to have exported to an excel file and then imported that as a table into InDesign, which I'm hoping to avoid. I've seen a plug in by 65bit that purports to export directly from FM to Indd. Does anyone have any experience with this product, and or know of any other options? thanks, sara
Mikhail Edoshin Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 emSoftware has two other plug-ins for database publishing: InData and InCatalog. Both can work with exported data, ODBC connection, and InCatalog also seems to work with FileMaker live (under Mac OS X only).
Reed Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 Here is a link to a method using OS X automator actions. http://www.filemaker.com/support/downloads/tech_preview/index You have to provide your email to get the files. I've played with the demo a bit and it seems to work, but I've not used indesign much lately, so I can't claim any real experience with it.
