April 11, 200817 yr Newbies I am moving from Peer-to-Peer Sharing to Server Advanced 9 and I am installing with Windows Server 2003. This is my first time working with Server operating systems. Are there any do's and/or don'ts I should know while setting up Windows Server 2003? For example are there services that can be disabled or set to manual that would help performance. I will be using the server for only Filemaker and I do need some IWP access as well. Just looking for any tips to make install go smoother.
April 11, 200817 yr Turn off file sharing and virus checking for starters. Be sure to install the latest updaters. I'm sure others will chime in.
