Hi

I hope this is the correct sub-forum for my query. If not please advise and I will repost.

I am running an online marketing campaign. I am a mac user.

I need to turn the following 2 text documents:

1.Contacted people

Lula-Vampiro,nh-last,elenith,Minocula,ey1000high,MissingLight,molo ni,sullivantpaul,devil_lynx

2.New people

mickeymouse,Lula-Vampiro,ey1000high,donaldduck,devil_lynx

into the following text document

3.New people I haven't contacted

mickeymouse,donaldduck

Please note that some of the names will have hyphens and underscores. My list 1 will eventually number over 50,0000 with list 2 numbering about 1000

Is there a way to import lists 1 and 2 into filemaker and export list 3?

Is filemaker the best way to accomplish this?

Many thanks.

After the import of each file into its own table, you can create a relationship between them. A simple Go to Related Record from Table B (match found set) will give you a match of all the related records in table A. You can find the related ones and then show ommited only and export the results. I believe that you should be able to use a not equal operator as well.

Is filemaker the best way to accomplish this? I have downloaded a trial version. I am a complete beginner but I am trying to find out if filemaker can do this before my trial period expires. If any one can give me a reasonably detailed method to do this in filemaker I would be very grateful.

Many thanks.
