Acrobat 8.1.2 crashes FM 8.5v2

Featured Replies

The database has a container field for attached scans that are referenced to a folder on the Mac server.

One user can't print the PDF files in this container, everyone else can. She has MacOS 10.4.11, has Acrobat 8.1.2 installed, FM 8.5v2. No one else has installed Acrobat 8, everything else is the same.

Acrobat 8 puts a tool bar into the container that doesn't work, then errors out that:

"Acrobat cannot open this file because a task is still active in Acrobat. Please return to Acrobat and end the task before opening this file."

Click OK, then print, used to unexpectedly quit, but after permissions repair, etc., it just prints a full black page. Prints fine on other Macs.

I tried to remove Acrobat 8 and choose Preview or an earlier Acrobat to view pdf's with, but I can't uninstall it (there is no option in the installer), and all other programs are grayed out.

How can I pull Acrobat 8, and what can I do to print these pdf's?
