I am using Filemaker 9 and 7

I need to display a number in scientific notation to one decimal place

For example, if I create two number fields, A and B and a calculation field A:B ratio, and:

Field A = 1

Field B = 654321

A:B Ratio = 0.000001528301858

I want the A:B ratio to display as 1.5e-6

If I use “General format” for the ratio field, it displays 1.528301858e-6

Is there a way to truncate the number of decimals in the display of the calculated result?

Any suggestions most gratefully received…
