Both exist happily within HTML. However I am not sure if Flash can make use of HTML tags (CDML is just Filemaker specific HTML) within itself.

They will both coexist in normal HTML.

I am sure they will both co-exist in normal HTML. However we are using Flash (.swf files) within a web site that uses CDML to talk to the FileMaker database. Is this possible? Has anyone ever done this?

You have your HTML, this is what starts the site. Then you load the Flash file. Then you load the CDML tags. The two do not have anything to do with one another and will both coexist within the HTML document.

HTML

Flash

CDML

/HTML

You will not be able to access the CDML from within the Flash file (unless it can make use of HTML tags) and you cannot access the Flash from within CDML (since they are only Filemaker specific HTML tags).
