Is it possible to insert a left frame in the layout, like the one for example when you browse a database using http? It should be a frame with butons and links, always available on the left, indipendent on the scrolling of the page.

I kind of remember a Floating Pallet at nightwing for printing, maybe there is something else there that will inspire.
