Vecordious Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Hi all, I'm relatively new to the FMP scene and work in Australia. I need a script or a formula to calculate dates in the dd/mm/yy format and not the American mm/dd/yy format. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
comment Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Your request is not clear. You can calculate a date (from what input?) using any method that produces a valid date, and it will be displayed in the format that is used by the file - or in any other format you choose for a specific field on a layout.
Oldfogey Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Go to File->File Options->Text and tick 'Always use Current System settings'. If you are having trouble, I'm guessing that you are looking at sample files; the above will fix that - assuming of course that your system is set to Oz format! Most of the time FMP will then display your dates in the local format. You might have to tailor the odd date field (do it in layout mode) but it's unlikely. Good luck!
