tmas73 Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 I have some problems for calculations to display, even with a refresh action they wont display. The only way I get them to refresh is clicking on the portal record. So I found a work around to display the calculations. I added a script that switches to a copy of the same layout and back to the original one, it is refreshed, but is there not a "Right" way of doing this? Thanks
Ugo DI LUCA Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 Hi, There should be but you said you tried a refresh. There's a script step called Refresh Window, which should do what you expect. If the unstored calculations don't show up, it's surely because they are tied to a Table Occurrence far away the first relation. That's why the options to empty joins cache are for. Make sure you use them. HTH

It calculates the calculation but I have a radio choics of gram and ounce and if I hit those and the calculation changes to ounce it displays all "00" until I refresh the wired way! Thanks
Søren Dyhr Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 But More info is required here, you need to give us a more thorough description of purpose and context. Why is the behaviour desired, is there a global field involved. Is it positioned in the correct TO etc. --sd

The main table (recipes) has a tab display of a calculation (see the file from the other post) the calculation really happens in a second table (oil quantities) and this table (oil quantities) gets a product list (oils) from a 3rd table (oil materials). Hope that helps
