hank101 Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Hey, I'm having an issue deleting scripts, I have full user access, and when I run the scripts, FM says the script cannot be found or deleted. So in scriptmaker I get the same message, even though they are listed. I recovered the file, no errors reported. Any ideas how to get rid of these orphaned scripts and I'll just redo them. thanks in advance
Lee Smith Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 It's hard for us to tell what is going on without seeing the file. Your description is a little unclear, because you can read your description two ways. Did you recover the file and then attempt to delete the scripts, or did you attempt to delete the scripts, Recover the file, and still can't delete the Scripts. In any event, your file sounds like it might be corrupted. You can attach a copy of it with a reply (i.e. Save as a Clone (no records). Don't forget to also provide the [color:red]passwords. Lee
hank101 Posted May 9, 2008 Author Posted May 9, 2008 Hi Lee, I managed to repair the file. Not sure of the cause though. I had been creating new scripts yesterday, and when I tested them, FM stated they were missing, so in the script menu, I could see them, but I couldn't modify or delete them without getting the same error message. It wouldn't recover on the server, so I transferred the bad file to my computer, it recovered ok even though it said there were no errors. I uploaded it back to the server and all is well. thanks Hank
Lee Smith Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 (edited) no, no, no.... It is not recommended to use a file once it has had to be recovered. Instead, you should revert to a pristine backup copy. For more on this subject, look at the Threads in the [color:blue]Damaged / Corrupt File Problems under the [color:red]Brain Food Section. Lee Edited May 9, 2008 by Guest
