Another conditional format peculiarity

Featured Replies

I have set up a text field as a button script so that it takes me to another layout when clicked. But sometimes I want to enter the field instead and have therefore set the script so that holding down the shift key will go to the field instead of switching layouts. This works fine in principle.

However, the script is disrupted if the conditional formatting for the field is set in a particular way. In those cases the shift key doesn’t work and I get a 102 error.

I’ve attached two files. In Format1 everything works as it ought to. In Format2 I have the shift key problem. The only difference between the 2 files is that the conditional format command for the text field is different.

Can anyone help with this please and tell me what’s wrong with Format2?

It's a bug. See here for explanation and solution:

BTW, your script will fail if Caps Lock is on. See here for a better approach:

Ah - well thanks again. I'd never have found that. What a silly bug.

I don't actually use Shift in the real db for the reason you give. But I like the Mod solution though.
