Is it possible to get the height of a layout part? I don't see a 'Get()' function for this.

For what purpose? While in layout mode, you can display the Object Info. Click the 'In' until it toggles to cm then finally px. Then click the part's tab once. The bottom entry in Object Info says the part height. I'm unsure why else you might want this information so I hope this helps.
