June 17, 200817 yr Since applying the original 9.0v3 update we have experienced what seems to be a memory leakage, such that we need to reboot the server every three weeks or so. I have come to the decision that we will need to reinstall the software, although some have suggested that we install the latest complete trial version and then enter our valid serial number. Beyond the need to get our IT people involved, my biggest concern is having the reconfigure the backup and other settings on the Server. Can anyone advise where this information is stored? If in one or two neat files, obviously I will copy those over to the new installation. Thanks in advance.
June 26, 200817 yr It's all in the registry, you can export the relevant key and re-import it when you're done with the reinstall: HKLMsoftwarefilemakerfilemaker server9.0 what you need is the Preferences folder and Schedules folder of that hive.
June 26, 200817 yr oh... and if you've never worked with the registry before you might not want to mess with it. It's the heart and soul of your Windows installation. Walk softly.
