Hi all,

I have an old database file 4.0 (Mac) that I upgraded to 9.0.

There is a report that we need to run frequently and then do a manual sort. When I sort by field 1 it works. When I sort by field 2 it works. When I sort by both making field 2 the highest priority, field 1 for the most part is sorted but there are random records that are way out of sort. I can't figure it out. It never did this before the upgrade.

Any help would be appreciated.

Are you sorting by a value list? What kind of fields are these (date, text, number...)?

You might try going to the storage tab of the field definition and set indexing to none. Leave the automatically create indexes option checked. The sort may be slow the first time if there are a lot of records.
