ggh Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 This is the first opportunity I've had to use FMPs tabs. Wow are they cool! I've got a layout with nested tabs. I want to set a global field to equal the name of the active tab on the nested tab. I was hoping Get ( ActiveLayoutObjectName ) would do the job, but no luck. Is there a way to make this work without creating fake tabs (buttons) that script back to 0 point tabs?
Fitch Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Your profile/post info says FileMaker 7, but tab controls were not available until version 8. The solution I have in mind requires object names, and the GetLayoutObjectAttribute function both introduced in FileMaker 8.5. For version 8.5 and above, have a look at this.
