I am using File Maker Pro 5 to create a school e-mail service to inform teachers when they are to cover lessons. However when I import the information about the staff the data for one record is automatically divided into 2 different records, is it possible to combine 2 records, because if it isn't I will have to send each member of staff 2 e-mails, which is very unhelpful.

So if it is at all possible could you inform me of any methods in which it is possible to combine 2 records into just one.

Thank You

How do you exactly import your data ?

How do you send the info via FM and email ?

Maybe there is something wrong.

Based upon the brief information you provided, it is unclear whether you'd be better off trying to develop a fix rather than starting over clean and making sure that the import happens properly.

Exactly what did you do, step by step? What file format did you "import" into FMP 5? Are you sure that the imported file was organized properly (i.e., one record per teacher rather than split into two)?
