Exporting Layout and script

Featured Replies

Hi fellow developers.

I have created a subsidiary database for testing out my layout and scripts. They have been tested and finalised.

The question is:

How can I export these layouts and script to my original project which is in a different file?

I understand that records can be exported, but is there a way to export the layout and scripts?

*Rewriting the script is an unlikely option because the script is extremely long.

If anyone may, please advise me; or email me at [email protected]

Hi Ah,

This topic has come up in the past, and the process is not as hard as it used to be. In v8.5, you have the ability of importing the Tables, Scripts, Fields, etc. You will have to create the Relationships though.

If you are wanting to move the Design, you will need to do this by using Copy and Paste from one file to the other, Just open up both files in layout mode, and select all, and then pasting.

If I over looked an eliment, look first to the tools in your application, and if not found, post a Reply with your need.

Omg, I cannot believe it's that easy. I will setup the item tomorrow.

Thank you for advising. Mr Lee.
