We are having some major issues with FMS 9.03. Last week it crashed on us. The files just closed. We went to a backup copy of the files just in case, and today it crashed again.

We have server running on a dedicated box with more than sufficient hardware requirements.

Quad Processor

72GB 3G PLUG SAS 15K RPM HD

4GB RAM

etc... etc...

The users have been complaining about the speed and coffee cups for the last two months. There is nothing unusual about the number of users or data traffic. So we tried to see if it was a network issue. Our Networks staff states that there is nothing strange.

I am not sure if the two issues are related.

I dont know why the server just closes all the files. I could not even command line anything. It was giving me an error: (See attached)

FMS crashing is not helping our case to IT that it is reliable.

FMS Settings are optimized with 799 MB with cache flush at 1 min. Also the number of allowable users and files to be hosted are set to only what is necessary. Also the files have been saved as compacted a few days ago.

Any thoughts?
