dburnham Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 I have a new laptop that isn't connecting to my server like its predecessor, the exact same model. MacBook Pro running Leopard 10.5.4. The Server is running FMS 9 under OS-X Server 10.4.11. On the Server machine I can launch the Admin Console just like always. But on my laptop, I get an error that begins with this General text in the Java Web Start: An error occurred while launching/running the application. Category: Invalid Argument Error Could not load file/URL specified: file://localhost/Users/[my user name]/Library/Caches/Java/cache/javaws/http/[my ip address]/P16000/AMadmin_console_webstart.jnlp I suspect there is something I need to install in the new laptop to launch the Admin Console with Java but I don't know what it is. I hope someone knows the answer to this. thank you. Dennis Burnham [email protected]
Steven H. Blackwell Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 You may need to install the x326 patch for FileMaker Server on the server machine. It can be downloaded from the FMI web site. Steven
