PatternCount(text, search string)

returns a number -- it searches the text entered (such as a field name) for occurrences of the search string and tells you how many times it finds the string. For example:

PatternCount(State, "iss")

will return a "2" if the contents of the field "State" equal "Mississippi, but a "1" if the contents equal "Missouri".

Got it?

Dan
