I am working on a membership list of Band members. All the members are entered into the table Clients. Is there a way to enter a FATHER and a MOTHER with some of there own data on the same Input layer as the client.

I have created a copy of the table. Use a unique Band member number in both tables. When I try the portal method, I can get the first field to be that of the father or mother, however related fields in the portal take on the client's detail instead of the mother's or father's.

I am willing to buy a good book if someone can recommend one.
