LaRetta Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 The server box shows the correct time. But the Admin Console shows one hour early. My question is ... where does Admin Console get its time? The system date/time has not been changed; nothing else has happened on this box - it was opened, files were served and the time is wrong. Anyone have this happen? Of course I can unserve the files and re-serve and it might fix itself. But even if it does, that wouldn't answer the question of how the time could have been off and that is why I want to know where it grabs the time from. I would have assumed it would use its own OS date/time, right?
LaRetta Posted August 12, 2008 Author Posted August 12, 2008 Well, upon comparing two served boxes side by side, one updates the date/timestamp in FMS Admin. And its time is right. This second box (the one that has an attitude problem) does NOT update the time (in Admin Console) and the time is still an hour ahead of its OS time; even after rebooting the box and restarting FMS. Very strange!!
Steven H. Blackwell Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Check the auto-recognize Daylight time and the time zone configuration. Steven
LaRetta Posted August 12, 2008 Author Posted August 12, 2008 The setting is exactly the same on the two servers. It is checked on both.
