I can make a Database Design Report in HTML and this format is accessible without a problem but when I try to make it in XML format, I get a message that it cannot be opened. Where am I going wrong? I'm trying to use it with BaseElements but am stuck here.

Have you tried it without checking the [x] Automatically open option? These XML files can be very large text files. You don't really need to open it and look at.

The file I'm trying to open is the summary file (Summary.xml) and is only 12 KB. Just tried creating the report and unchecking the box.

Open to other suggestions.

I figured out the problem. The file was being opened (or trying to) by the applications OmniOutliner without success. I used the 'Open file with' option and chose the application TextEdit and clicked 'always open with' box.
