September 15, 200817 yr Newbies We are considering using Moodle for our Learning Management System. Can any one here assure my leadership that we can use our FMP database as the gateway for entry, i.e., people will have to have an FMP record to get in - AND - can we report completion of courses back out of Moodle to their FMP records? I'm a newbie, so help me correct my language and / or thinking gently, please. TX.
September 15, 200817 yr You are assuming that we know what "Moodle" is. I don't. A lot depends on whether Moodle can integrate with FMP.
September 27, 200817 yr Author Newbies Right, Vaughn, and sorry. Moodle is a Learning Management System for which we would like to use FMP as both the gateway and the out-report receiver. From my reading in the Moodle literature it appears possible. I'm looking for an FMP consultant to write an endorsement of practice and process I can use as part of my presentation to the Board of Directors in support of implementing an FMP/Moodle/FMP pathway for our online learning offerings. August 26, 201411 yr Greg, In case you're still following this topic years later: I *HAVE* been working out of a custom FM front end for moodle (university web-based courseware), and have begun to set it up with an interface that would help other faculty adapt it for their uses. (I also developed a black-board based solution years ago.) Drop me a line or reply here if this is an ongoing interest of yours...
September 21, 201411 yr This sounds interesting. My school is looking into Moodle; could be useful if I could integrate the department database (if I ever finish it!!)
