I'm creating a Sales/Contact Dbase and want to write my docs in Word (mac). Can I link specific docs to specific records and possibly access the docs through FM. Maybe a script that accesses Apple script and opens the doc?

Is there a built-in way? They advertise seamless integration w/ office, but I don't see it.

If you link the document to a conatainer filed ( Insert > Object > Create from File > check the Link box) then you can view it in Filemaker. If you double click on the container field it will open in Word for editing.

John, the Insert Object script step is ignored on Mac OS systems.

Do you have any other ideas?

Can't help you with that as I am using a PC but I'm sure someone else will be able to.
