Newbies noboundaries Posted February 24, 2001 Newbies Posted February 24, 2001 I'm creating a Sales/Contact Dbase and want to write my docs in Word (mac). Can I link specific docs to specific records and possibly access the docs through FM. Maybe a script that accesses Apple script and opens the doc? Is there a built-in way? They advertise seamless integration w/ office, but I don't see it.
john.daly Posted February 24, 2001 Posted February 24, 2001 If you link the document to a conatainer filed ( Insert > Object > Create from File > check the Link box) then you can view it in Filemaker. If you double click on the container field it will open in Word for editing.
