Hi out here. New in here. My question: I have over 10000 email addresses in word, they are listed one after another separated by semicolon. I want to import these addresses to a FM data base so each address becomes a record. Will appreciate any help

It is a simple matter to do a search/replace in Word. Search ; and replace with ^p (the code for a return). Then save your file as a text file (.txt rather than the usual .doc).

Now you can import that file, no sweat.

Regards,

Don

As you said it, NO SWEAT. It works. Thank you. By saving the .doc file to a .text, opening it with excel and using a transpose function I was able to get the addresses to line up one under another(just finished doing that just before reading your answer). But your indication is a lot easier and faster. I really appreciate it.
