RodM Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Hello, this is a message reply from my tech re: problems we are having with this version of our Filemaker app trying to get a 9, to function using MS dialer... [color:red]See Dialer code attach My client has a PBX we need to access, to get an outside line that is not appearing to happen? Maybe someone here can help.. or been there.. Thanks Rod ----------------------------------------------------- Dialing the 9… I am reading all this… and it still looks to me, Sorry if I am wrong,,, the dialer code appears to be filtering the phone#? SEE CODE at end of doc Isn’t this canocial order? +1 (222) 444-1234 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/247192 _____above I understand is canocial____________ From Rod’s tech responding…. the mask is ( xxx ) xxx - xxxx for display purposes,,, I read the PDF MS dialing rules desktop too// LOOK AT Canocial rule above say +1 (123) 456-7890 It seems the dialer code below .. is filtering + () - characters below… Thus you are not in canconical format … I may be wrong but … It seems like we are dialing 112345678990 2008-09-22: No. The filtering is working correctly. I check at my PC. See the image below as I have mark code actually working. I try dialing a number and it shows me dialing the number as (444) 111-2222
RodM Posted September 29, 2008 Author Posted September 29, 2008 Well,, let me share what I am finding... reply.. Apparently not many under stand the dial phone module... What I can figure... is it send out to this tapi ms dialer.exe.. and the dialer accept the phone# data as is.. 444-5555 or (444)5555 or 1 444 333-5555 etc just about any format.. Some character it doesn't like... a comma, i need a delay, getting access to a PBX between, dialing a 9, the 9 gets me an outside line, and the required comma delays 1-2 seconds Looking further I learned of this Canonical format is.. the character + triggers the special dialing rules, ie. 9, for an outside line or credit card dialing etc.. SO if your phone # is just like mine was Numbers only... your code will never trigger dialing rules.. The send character is the numeric 1 for the country (USA) +1 (541) 444-1212 I am including a image that shows the dialer information//////notice if I send the '+' the ms dialer the correct format, I get the 2nd finalized dialing string to the modem! 9, and the phone# string
