janet K Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 I have created a PDF in Filemaker 8.0v3 and when I open this PDF in Adobe 9 and try to print it it gives me an error of: "unable to start print job" "A drawing error occurred" The margins look good. I have even changed the paper size to 11X17 to make sure the margins are not the problem Any suggestions? Everything that I am finding when I google says it is not adobe it is the program that created the PDF...of course!
Vaughan Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Test the pdf on somebody else's computer to see whether the problem is with the pdf or with your copy of Acrobat 9.
Fancytricks Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 Yes I have this same issue. Let me know if you find a solution. I am going to do some more research on this, as I am getting this error too. Basically reading on the net when you upgrade to CS3, or another creative suit it can corrupt your preference files. This can lead to fonts been unreadable, which we have in this case. Could you please try item 2 first here is the actual link for option 1. http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/bsc/Public/CountryTop.aspx?reg=us&c=us〈=en Solution 2: Print as image. 1. Open the PDF file in Acrobat. 2. Choose File > Print. 3. Click Advanced at the bottom of the Print dialog box. 4. In the resulting Advanced Print Setup dialog box, select Print As Image and click OK.
