September 27, 200817 yr Yes, I'm XSL Illiterate so laugh if you must... One problem is that I've never figured out how to move back up the nodes or how to handle a circumstance like this: ... I need to get multiple records to import when there is not a -for each- of the first fields... The important fields are: - - - Which I want to import into a global fields and the multiples come from - - I want to get 2 records from the below for import update matching the ISBN's : − − 10999877787 m26VY4oJhr8= m26VY4oJ1y9lj3D www.url.com $31.38 $31.38 0425213757 1 $10.20 0484960757 2 $8.20 To keep it basic here's the Resultset: 1 0 1 I just don't know how to get the first few fields into each record. Since they're global it won't matter if it gets overwritten...
September 27, 200817 yr Are you sure your source data is correct? The SubTotal element appears twice, once as a child of Cart, and once as a child of CartItems. That doesn't seem logical. Moreover, the subtotal price is $31.38, when it seems it should be $18.40.
September 27, 200817 yr Author Yes it is correct.... I deleted a lot to simplify and didn't change the subtotal to match. Not sure why they return 2 subtotals but they do ... I just picked 1.
September 27, 200817 yr Use "../" to go back up 1 level. You really want to create a FileMaker row for each CartItem. Also, I only did one of the Subtotal/FormatedPrice elements; there's 2; I suppose in case there's other items that are not CartItems (shipping, etc.). But you can add the other. FileMaker doesn't really care about the Found count or RecordID, so I left them blank (lazy today). You need to add the FileMaker fields to the Metadata section, if you expect to import into FileMaker. Do an XML export to see what that looks like. Edited September 29, 200817 yr by Guest

September 27, 200817 yr That's still broken, huh. I'll paste it here. You may have to clean it up however. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> 0 0
September 27, 200817 yr I would do it this way: ... ... ... I believe this is more efficient then constantly going up the tree for the common value/s.
