Am attempting to build an automatic online email database where web viewers enter their email to receive monthly newsletters via email.

Which Filemaker product should I look into? Too many options for this newbie and I don't know where to begin or what the correct term I should be using when I speak about this email database.

Any advice or resources would be greatly appreciated.

Go to one of the free listserv or mailing list services on the web (I dunno who they are but they are out there) and set one up. Then send your customers there.

Building a system yourself in FMP is relativley easy, it's the HOSTING that gets tricky because the finished systems cannot sit on a ordinary web server: it must run on a FMP server.
