Convert word doc to pdf file

I've been asked to set up a FM process that will [color:red]take a referenced Word document and convert it to a .pdf file. The pdf file will be attached to an outgoing email.

Does FM have a way to do this?

I was thinking about setting up an outside scripted process to open Adobe acrobat and convert the file that way. I don't like this idea though as many things could go wrong.

Any ideas are appreciated. Thank you.

I probably would look for a command line utility that convert the Word document to PDF. You can use filemaker to pass the path to the Word document in conjunction with Send Event.

Thank you. I found a nice little visual basic script to run using "send event"
