Jalz
Hello All, I've got a Word document, which I would like to create a dynamic footer for. The fields for the footer are in a FileMaker database hosted by FileMaker Server Advanced 9. I was thinking I could use XML to merge fields. Has anyone used Word to merge fields from FM using XML and is it more robust then ODBC? Thanks Jalz
mr_vodka
You can export as XML with a stylesheet applied for the XSLT if you wish. Look on FMI website regarding XML and RTF.
Jalz
Thanks, But do I have to EXPORT the record out of FileMaker. Can I not allow a live connection, similar to ODBC?
mr_vodka
I am not sure what the issue is. Why do you need "live" data when you are doing a merge?
