Hi-

I recently upgraded to FP9 from FP7. The way filemaker handles text formatting has changed. Now when I paste text from elsewhere Filemaker uses the text's format, rather than the default I've specified for the field.

Is there a way I can make Filemaker override the text's own formatting by default, without having to remove formatting each time I paste text?

Yes, use TextFormatRemove function in an autoentered calc, uncheck the Do not Replace Contents checkbox.
