LiveOak Posted March 10, 2001 Posted March 10, 2001 This is just a guess, but I think it makes it a lot easier to create an interpreted structure vs. a compiled one. In FM you can make a change an immediately use the database. In a lot of database systems, you must recompile the source the generate a new executable.
