I have just started working with FileMaker Pro for an internship that I am doing and I don't know what I am doing.

I need help in changing the field names to a database. I did the process that the tutorial tells me but it is still not going through in the actual database.

Can someone help me??

I don' know what you are referring to by "Tutorial" (user guide?), but you should be able to change the names of the fields by goig to Main Menu >> File >> Database >> Fields and then select the Field to be change, it will then show in the box "Field Name" at the bottom. Be sure you have selected it (highlighted), and type in the replacement name.

Okay your way out, and check to see if the name was change on your layout. If not, double click on the file, and select the new field name in the list, be sure to select the "Create Lable", then this should put the name on the layout.
